VineWorks was established in 2006 by James Dodson, Chief Executive Officer, and is based in Plumpton Green, East Sussex.
At VineWorks, we believe that quality wine starts on the vine. We are cool climate specialists supporting vineyards across the UK with all their viticultural needs to ensure they produce amazing wines in a sustainable and profitable way.
Since its inception, VineWorks has established hundreds of vineyards across the UK, and currently services over 90 sites.
Duties and responsibilities
- Responsible for the complete management of designated site(s).
- Conduct tractor operations at sites across the UK.
- Supervise vineyard labour teams.
- Machinery maintenance and upkeep.
- Support in the logistics of machinery movements.
- Compliance with all health and safety, and legislative requirements.
- Ability to work extended hours at peak times of the year.
- Comfortable travelling long distances to different sites.
- To undertake other duties and tasks that may reasonably be required.
Person Specification
Essential
Experience/ Knowledge
- Eligibility to work in the UK
- Knowledge of Word/Excel or sound IT skills
- Experience in an agricultural role
- Experience operating, maintaining and repairing farm machinery
- PA1, 2 & 3 qualifications.
- A full, clean UK driving licence and experience towing 3.5t trailers
Skills
- Strong mechanical and practical aptitude
- Excellent organisational skills
- Ability to work under pressure, independently and be self-motivated
- Ability to work flexibly within a team and adjust to changing priorities
Desirable
- Experience working in vineyards
- Experience working for a contracting business
- Understanding of viticulture and the English wine industry
- Fork lift licence
