James Dodson appointed lead viticulturist for Jackson Family Wines' UK wine production operations

We are pleased to announce that VineWorks CEO and Founder, James Dodson, has been appointed as lead viticulturist for Jackson Family Wines’ UK wine operations.  The venture is being led by British winemaker, Charlie Holland, who has served as chief winemaker and CEO at Gusbourne Estate.

James studied Viticulture and Oenology at Plumpton College before setting up his own company, VineWorks, in 2006.  His business is based on a simple premise - that quality wine starts on the vine.  Over the years, he and his team have established over 300 vineyards across the UK.

Jackson Family Wines (JFW) is a California-based, family-owned business that operates a collection of 40 wineries and vineyards spanning North America, France and Italy, Australia, Chile, and South Africa.

Find out more about this exciting venture in Jancis Robinson's article "JFW invests in GB vines and wines" (27 June 2023).
